Originally from Mississippi, I have been a Licensed Colorado Real Estate Broker since 2000 and have lived in Colorado since 1995. My office is located in Cortez, CO (about 30 miles west of Durango). Other towns in this great region include Mancos, Dolores, Rico, and Durango 
CO.

Grandpa Les got the call back into active Real Estate a couple of years ago when one of my adult grandsons became intrigued with getting his RE license.  He knew that in one segment of my career I had owned a United Country franchise office in Grand Jct (which was then United Farm Agency).

This adult grandson (who at age 21 was already successful as an entrepreneur), suggested that this United Country’s national franchise is

By the Way, Thankyou dear friends (A great attorney, a team in Title Insurance, a cooperative seller as well as several professionals) for your collaboration in the recent closing of a gravel pit.  I had it listed for a few months when LaPlata County Road and Bridge decided to make it their own.  It was not an easy closing (six months of focused effort), but that’s what keeps us on our toes.  $1,500,000 for the pit.  $400,000 for the permits.  Not a bad way to start the year.

Carolyn Hunt agent

As a graduate of the local high school (MCHS) I headed off to Denver to Metro State University as a Hotel/Restaurant major.  I managed wonderful restaurants, one of which offered live Opera entertainment, both offering some of the best cuisine in Denver.  I then dove into Hotel managaement which landed me in Florida.  Being a God loving, Colorado girl I returned home in December of 2015, back to my family in Cortez.  I have been at The Farm Bistro Since the beginning of 2016, which supports the local community, bringing delicious farm to table dining.   I enjoy volunteering and promoting our local culture.  I love all that is available to us in the beautiful Southwest, like hiking, biking, paddle boarding, skiing, sledding, gardening, and soaking in the various hot springs in the area.  I am a "Mimi" (grandma) to my grandson, who loves it here also.  I have a tender heart for others and am grateful for the amazing friendships and connections I have made here.  I am honnored to be a broker at United Country Blue Sky Homes and Land.  With all the passion, intergrity, and dependability, I am super excited to help you sell your home or land, or to help you find the one your heart desires.

I am a born and raised, fourth generation family member of Montezuma County in Southwest Colorado. Growing up in Montezuma County I am familiar with the area and have numerous connections with people in the community of all different backgrounds. I worked in the service industry in Cortez for 8+ years, which has brought me even more connections with people from right here in the Four Corners, as well as people traveling through to experience this beautiful place we call home. 

From a young age I have been involved in 4-H and FFA, and still volunteer as a superintendent for the program today. The lessons and morals taught to me through these programs over the years, truly resonate with how I live my life today. I love being an active member of the community.
